Terms of use.
The plain-English version. What you can expect from Memo and what we ask of you.
Draft, to be reviewed. These terms will be revised before they are final. Last updated .
The service
Memo is a PDF note-taking app made by waiyers. It runs in your browser and on iPad, iPhone and Android (in test today, in the App Store and Google Play when it ships). It writes your notes into your PDFs as standard PDF annotations and keeps those PDFs in your own Google Drive or on your device.
Your files
Your documents are yours. Memo stores them nowhere but in your Drive folder or on your device, and claims no rights over them. You are responsible for the content of the files you annotate and share.
Price and payment
Memo costs 0.99 € a month, billed by the App Store or Google Play after a 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged during the test phase (TestFlight and Google Play testing). The web app is free for now: the stores cannot bill a website, and any change is announced on the pricing page first.
The subscription is managed and cancelled in your store account (Apple ID subscriptions, or Google Play subscriptions). The store’s own terms apply to payment and refunds; Memo never sees your card. Features marked as planned, such as AI notebooks and summaries, are not part of the plan until they ship.
No warranty
Memo is provided as is. We work hard to never lose a note, which is why edits are saved on your device first and Drive keeps a revision on every upload, but we cannot promise the service will be free of errors or always available. Keep your own backups of important documents.
Acceptable use
Do not use Memo to break the law, to attack the service, or to interfere with other people’s use of it.
